Storytellers, Teachers, Performers – Teach Kids Chess Through Stories! (Nashville, TN)
$20–$25/hr | 1099 Contractor | Part-Time
Are you a performer, teacher, or creative with a big heart and a playful spirit? We're so glad you found us.
Chess at Three teaches kids as young as 3 years old how to play chess through storytelling. Yep, it's as fun as it sounds — and (shhh...) you don't need to be a chess master to be amazing at this job.
We're expanding in Nashville and surrounding areas , including Gallatin, Mt. Juliet, Old Hickory, Smyrna, and Murfreesboro , and we're looking for fun, animated tutors to join our growing team.
About the Role:
Teach 1:1 or small group lessons in schools
Use our story-based curriculum (we train you!)
Build relationships with families & make learning magical
Flexible hours — great for artists, educators, and freelancers
Locations:
We're hiring in:
Nashville, Gallatin, Mt. Juliet, Old Hickory, Smyrna, and Murfreesboro
Pay & Perks:
$20–$25/hour (1099 contractor)

Who You Are:
Fun, energetic, and great with kids
Performer, actor, teacher, nanny, or just a natural storyteller
Responsible, responsive, and organized
Excited to learn a new skill and make a real impact
Bonus: Early childhood or performance background
Bachelor's degree preferred, background check required
Schedule:
Mostly weekday afternoons and some weekends
