Tasting Room Sales Associate & Merchandiser

Picayune Cellars is a winery and a mercantile store located in downtown Calistoga. Our environment is dynamic, so you get a chance to work on many aspects of the business. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, pro-active, with a can-do attitude. We are looking for candidates who are responsible, organized & positive. This is a part-time position with a lot of flexibility and the opportunity to grow into a full-time position quickly.

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service in the retail store, on the phone, and via email to schedule tastings and to answer questions regarding wine and merchandise.
Process all types of retail transactions using our POS systems Shopify & Bloom.
Assist with preparing wine and merchandise for shipping.
Restocking merchandise and wine.
Conduct wine tastings and special guest experiences.
Sell merchandise, wine and wine clubs.
Actively work to achieve daily and weekly sales and wine club sign up goals.
Maintain organization of work spaces on and off the sales floor.
Assist with maintaining the overall look of the tasting room and retail store.
Assist with winery special events including, but not limited to, trade and private lunches, VIP tastings, elevated experiences, winery dinners, and wine club events.
Requirements/Qualifications:

Positive & energetic attitude.
Aptitude for sales and upselling.
Excellent customer service skills.
At least 1-3 years of experience in customer service, retail sales or hospitality preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Retail merchandising experience.
Ability to work with POS and email.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Hourly + commissions + tips
