Mission Statement
The Tasting Room Associate provides a friendly, knowledgeable and high-quality guest experience.
Main Responsibilities
Share the history and wines of the Pedroncelli family with all guests and club members through a memorable and educational seated tasting with gracious hospitality.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assist with daily tasting room operations including but not limited to: opening and closing procedures, retail sales using POS system, processing shipping orders and club sign-ups, answering telephone/email and responding to messages, scheduling reservations, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, inventory management, stocking wine storage, glass washing and polishing, etc.
• Educate guests on wines, vineyards, winemaking practices and winery history.
• Work alongside the tasting room lead to efficiently manage tasting room reservations and walk-ins.
• Large focus on club conversion. Clearly communicate all club options and structure to guests. Assist with setup and execution of club events.
• Contribute positively to the team and work environment.
• Help to maintain the tasting room facilities keeping a clean and sanitary workspace for customers and employees, inside and out.
• Assist with setup and execution of all winery events.
• Assist with outreach to drive traffic to the tasting room. Visit local wineries in order to form strong relationships.
• Phone sales. Make follow-up calls to past visitors and current club members offering specials and promoting wines.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required
Education: High school diploma. Associates or bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university a plus.
Minimum Requirements
• At least 2 years’ tasting room or hospitality experience.
• Advanced computer skills. Experience with wine industry related software a plus.
• Ability to use and learn Commerce 7 POS platform.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, responsible beverage service certification from ABC.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Must be 21+ years of age.

Compensation & Benefits:
• This position is part-time, 1-2 days per week, Saturday & Sunday availability required.
• $20-23/hr. Other benefits include club conversion commission, phone sales commission, tips, and wine discounts.
