WHO YOU ARE:
This position greets guests with fanatical hospitality. They help set up and maintain tasting room cleanliness, stock wines and dry goods, and bus/prebus tables. This role supports the Associate team with their daily activities and assists the guests with a smile to assure their experience is positive and memorable.

Essential Duties

1. Greet all guests with a welcoming, upbeat, positive attitude and demeanor.

2. Assist Tasting Room Associates and Managers in their daily operations. This may include packing up wine, cleaning/organizing tasting room spaces, seating guests, running food, polishing glasses, etc.

3. Sets and clears tables, sweeps, and monitors bathroom cleanliness throughout the shift.

Job Duties

•  Performs opening duties; vacuums and sweeps as needed, cleans glass doors and windows, sets up the host station and bars, ensures bathrooms are cleaned and stocked.

•  Greets visitors with a smile and welcoming conversation. Escorts guests to tables as assigned and engages in friendly conversation while enroute to table.

•  Accurately speaks to the Stoller Wine Group experience, family history and winery policies. Gives a brief introduction about the table’s Associate when seating a table.

•  Completes all tasks requested in a timely manner.

•  Completes running side work which may include rolling silverware, stocking and cleaning bathrooms, maintaining retail displays, clearing and prepping tables for next guests' arrival.

•  Maintains cleanliness and organization at the host stand and front door area.

•  Anticipates the needs and expectations of a wide variety of guests.

•  Maintains upbeat, even attitude and composure.

•  Completes sales training to enter in sales and wine club sign ups using WineDirect.

•  Assists members with seasonal allocation pick-ups using WineDirect.

•  Assist walk-in customers with retail sales using WineDirect.

•  Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

•  Works collaboratively in a team environment.

•  Respectfully takes direction from managers.

•  Other duties as needed.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum one-year prior employment in a tasting room/ wine sales environment is preferred. Experience in a high-volume, customer service-driven operation preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations

Licenses:Valid, current OLCC license. Valid, current Oregon Food Handler’s card.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer Skills

Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, enter database information, create presentations, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
