We're looking for a skilled tax preparer to join and grow with their dynamic team. Position Overview: This on-site role offers a flexible schedule with hours that may vary weekly depending on workload volume. Availability Monday through Saturday allows you to tailor your workweek around your needs. Tax Accountant Responsibilities: + Well-establish Public Accounting firm seeks newest additional to their taxation team + Leverages technical expertise with client-facing communication, drives long-term client retention and referrals. + Helps prepare and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, S corporations, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations. + Lead client engagements, including tax planning, basis calculations, and shareholder distributions, serving as primary contact for high-value accounts. + Supervise, train, and mentor staff to improve workflow efficiency and technical accuracy. + Partner with firm leadership to implement process improvements that reduced turnaround times and improved client satisfaction. Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree (Required) + Minimum 5 years' experience as a tax preparer + Proficient in preparing NJ & PA individual income tax returns (Required) + Strong time management and organizational skills + Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities + CPA or EA designation preferred, but not mandatory + Experience with UltraTax CS software is a strong plus Compensation: + Paying approximately $83,000 - $130,000 annually (depending on level of experience, education and license (CPA, EA, etc.) Why Join Us? + Flexible work schedule + Supportive team environment + Opportunity to grow your skills and career If you meet the qualifications and are ready to join a progressive financial firm, apply today!
