Technical Sales Representative:  MINNESOTA REGION

Our client is a well-established manufacturing rep firm in the global electronics manufacturing market. We are seeking an entry level, self-driven individual with an aptitude to learn highly technical products to join and manage an existing client base while also developing new accounts for electrical and mechanical components. Be part of the company's local and national "aspiring leaders" team as you learn and train with a group of other recent graduates who will be the company's rising key account managers and sales engineers. Your account package will be a hybrid of mature accounts and developing accounts to ensure maximum learning and income opportunity.  Want to launch a great sales career in a supported team with an established leader in the Minnesota market? Here is what it would look like:

“Day in the Life”
  • One-on-one training and mentoring with established sales team on latest market products. 
  • Coordinate new business opportunities with application engineering, marketing, and regional management of multiple electrical and electromechanical manufacturers.
  • Act as the main point of contact to key relationships at accounts.
  • Service existing long term account base while seeking out and nurturing new emerging accounts
  • Participate as part of the local Minnesota regional team while also growing presence in Midwest region and other mid-Central offices.
  • Collaborate and grow with a group of other developing sales leaders committed in the company as they continue their growth and sales expansion plans. 
Your Sales Strategy :
  • Identify new business opportunities and create strategies throughout the sales cycle. 
  • Present products to the engineering community of the customer base and support design efforts.
  • Develop specific sales strategies to capitalize on emerging territorial opportunities.
  • Meet regularly with customers to understand current product needs and proactively bring in manufacturer resources (sales/engineering/marketing etc.) as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal resources for alignment on the strategy and company objectives.
  • Effectively coordinate with distribution partners on key accounts.
Education and Experience of Most Successful Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and healthy competitive spirit
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable interest and aptitude to master highly technical products
  • Strong professional emotional intelligence with ability to work effectively both as member of a goal-sharing team and as an individual contributor.
  • Any experience or knowledge in electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, or electronic products.

Travel:
  • Occasional travel within the Midwest region to meet key accounts, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows
  • Limited out-of-state travel possible for supplier meetings/trainings and corporate events
