Role: Trade Finance Business Analyst

Location: Jersey City ,NJ (onsite )

Duration: Multi-year program (2-3 years)

Job Description

Role Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements for trade finance products, such as Letters of Credit (LC), Collections, Guarantees, FI Trade Loans and Account receivable Purchase.
• Conduct needs analysis and assess the technical viability of proposed solutions.
• Review and validate requirements with business users and stakeholders
• Collaborate with the technical team on the solution architecture and design.
• Ensure the implemented solution aligns with the high-level solution design and business requirements.
• Consult on database development and application integration.
• Validate that the implementation meets all business and technical requirements, including security and performance.
• Act as the business/functional counterpart to the project manager and development team.
• Communicate effectively with business users, developers, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops for requirements and solution validation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or equivalent. Masters is a plus.
• Apply knowledge of trade finance products and governing rules (e.g., UCP , URC ).
• Understand commercial banking products and processes, such as payment processing and transaction management.
• Possess familiarity with the specific trade finance applications being replaced or implemented, such as China Systems, Finastra, UCP600 etc.
