Job Description

Aretum is on the lookout for a talented and innovative User Experience (UX) Designer - Contingent to join our team. This role is pivotal in enhancing user experiences for our clients, particularly in the government sector focused on information-sharing initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into user-friendly solutions while following Agile methodologies.

As a UX Designer, you will conduct user research, develop wireframes, design prototypes, and conduct usability testing to ensure the best possible experience for end users. Your ability to empathize with users and apply design principles will be key to creating impactful designs that meet both user and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop both low and high-fidelity wireframes to communicate design ideas to engineers, testers, and users.
• Collaborate with business analysts to define and analyze UX for both new applications and legacy system workflows.
• Present and review designs with stakeholders, incorporating their feedback to refine user experiences.
• Work closely with engineering teams to adjust designs based on technical feedback and implementation constraints.
• Partner with testers and business analysts to refine acceptance criteria for projects, ensuring that designs meet usability standards and business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in designing complex applications.
• Strong understanding of UX design tools and principles, with an ability to communicate ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong user-focused orientation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and manage projects with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in developing UX wireframes using tools like Adobe Xd or Figma.
• Experienced in working collaboratively with business analysts to define complex workflows and present alternative solutions to customers.
• Skilled in conducting user interviews and gathering data from customer observations to inform design decisions.
• Experience in collaborating with UI developers, particularly those using React, to clarify and refine designs for development.
