Job Description

Job Summary
The Warehouse Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment in a modular closet facility. This role ensures the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking:
Accurately pick products from designated storage areas based on customer orders and packing slips.
Verify product codes, quantities, and quality before preparing orders for shipment.
Use barcode scanners, RF devices, and other technology to track inventory and order status.
Packing and Shipping:
Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit.
Label and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and shipping guidelines.
Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
Inventory Management:
Assist in receiving and stocking incoming inventory.
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Manager.
Safety and Cleanliness:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of picked and packed orders.
Assist in documenting any damaged or missing inventory items.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse or order-picking role is preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures is a plus.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided).
