About Us:

We are a growing family-owned restaurant management and events hospitality business based in Washington D.C. We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry and a passion for creating a positive work environment for our employees.

Summary:
As Director of Operations, you will lead the strategic and day-to-day management of our restaurants, ensuring that all teams operate cohesively and effectively to achieve financial, operational, and cultural goals. This role demands a results-oriented leader with a deep understanding of restaurant operations, a passion for hospitality, and an ability to inspire and manage teams while maintaining high standards of service and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy

  • Oversee and coordinate the planning, organization, and execution of operational strategies to achieve profitability and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set and drive the vision and goals for the restaurants and overall group.
  • Lead the successful opening of new restaurant concepts, including planning, staffing, and launch execution.
  • Serve as a liaison between executive leadership and restaurant teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution of initiatives.

Operational Management

  • Ensure restaurants maintain high standards for food quality, beverage programs, and guest experiences.
  • Audit and enhance operational procedures to improve consistency, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Coordinate with culinary, facilities, and marketing teams to implement new initiatives, training programs, and operational improvements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to audit operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

Financial Oversight

  • Work with the CFO to monitor and manage restaurant budgets, financial performance, and P&L statements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost control, revenue growth, and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for all restaurants, ensuring financial goals align with company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to control costs, optimize revenue streams, and enhance profitability without compromising quality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-unit restaurant operations management.
  • Proven track record in developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including P&L analysis and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software (e.g., Toast, Resy, Margin Edge, etc.) Passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
