As a Delivery Driver for our party and event rental company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of rental equipment to our clients' venues. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading rental items, transporting them to event locations, and providing exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to professionalism and reliability. This position reports to the Event Rental Fleet Manager.

  3. Navigate delivery routes efficiently and arrive at destinations within scheduled timeframes.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, venue staff and sales team to coordinate delivery logistics and ensure smooth setup and pickup and/or breakdown of rental equipment.
  5. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup, addressing any client questions or concerns and representing the company in a professional manner.
  6. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure that vehicles are in good working condition and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, including regular cleaning and sanitization of interior and exterior surfaces.
  8. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures while operating company vehicles.
  9. Assist with other duties as needed, including warehouse tasks, inventory management, and event setup and teardown.

Education, Skills & Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  3. Previous experience as a delivery driver, moving company or in a similar role preferred.
  4. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  6. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading rental equipment.
  7. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
  8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, depending on event schedules.
  9. Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to work as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  10. Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

Benefits:
