Role Overview

As the Vice President of Account Management , you will lead Botify’s US-based account management team, overseeing the success and growth of our client relationships. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a client-first strategy, working closely with our Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure Botify’s solutions are effectively driving client satisfaction and ROI.

This is a leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, deep SEO knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to clients. You will have the opportunity to shape the vision for account management, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to enhance our offering. This role will be based in our New York office, with a 3 day per week in-office mandate.

Your responsibilities:

Strategic Growth:

  • Identify, nurture and convert opportunities for expansion and upsell, while maintaining strong and trust-based client relationships. 
  • Own client retention for the USA region.
Leadership & Strategy:
  • Lead and scale the Account Management team in the USA, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer success goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve client retention, satisfaction, and growth.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Own high-level relationships with key clients and serve as their trusted strategic advisor. 
  • Anticipate client needs, proactively identify opportunities, and ensure Botify’s solutions are driving value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Success and Consulting teams to deliver seamless client experiences, optimize processes, and drive long-term business growth.

Team Development:

  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Account Managers.
  • Provide guidance, performance feedback, and have an always-on approach to supporting career development conversations and opportunities.

Client Success Metrics:  

  • Define, measure, and report on KPIs related to client health, satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. 
  • Regularly present reports to senior leadership, showcasing team performance and impact.

Thought Leadership:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, particularly in SEO and organic search, to ensure Botify remains a trusted leader and innovator in the space.

Your qualification:

Experience:  

  • 10+ years in account management, customer success, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, ideally in the SaaS, tech, or SEO space.

Commercial Expertise: 

  • Strong track record of leading successful commercial teams, with deep expertise in retention and growth forecasting, negotiation, deal structuring, account strategy and territory management.

Strategic Account Planning:  

  • Develop and implement comprehensive account plans for key clients, including identifying growth opportunities, potential risks, and tailored value propositions.

Leadership Skills:  

  • Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, with an emphasis on collaboration, coaching, and performance management.

Client-Focused:

  • Strong client relationship skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term strategic C-level partnerships, balancing client needs with business objectives. 
  • Proven track record of success in managing large, complex accounts and achieving revenue targets, as well as understanding the need for differentiation in approach for the lower end of the portfolio.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies that align with both client and business goals.

Communication:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to C-level executives and stakeholders.

Location: This role is based in New York, with a flexible hybrid work model available.

Salary:

On Target Earnings (salary + bonus): $350,000 to $400,000
