Job Description

I’m searching for a talented freelance environment artist to join an exciting project built in Unreal Engine. I’m looking for an individual with exceptional skills in creating immersive and optimized environments. This is a freelance position for a single artist—no outsourcing companies need apply. Clear communication in English via Discord is a must. Below are the specific requirements and skills I’m looking for:

• Unreal Engine Expertise: Must have a very strong understanding of building environments within Unreal Engine, including proficient use of its terrain tools to craft detailed and realistic landscapes.
• Lighting Mastery: Must be adept at setting up dynamic and visually appealing lighting in Unreal Engine to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the environment.
• Optimization Skills: Must know how to optimize levels efficiently to ensure smooth performance on medium to high-end hardware, balancing quality and functionality.
• Communication: Must speak English clearly and be comfortable collaborating and discussing progress via Discord in a professional and timely manner.

Core Software Proficiency:

• Maya : Must demonstrate advanced skills in modeling and preparing assets for environment creation.
• Substance Painter: Must be highly capable in texturing assets with a focus on detail and realism.

Technical Knowledge:  Must fully understand texel density and have expertise in stacking multiple props into a single material to maximize efficiency and maintain visual fidelity.
