Job Title: Junior Cloud Security Analyst

Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Cloud Security Analyst with hands-on experience implementing and reviewing cloud security controls in Azure environments. The ideal candidate will support cloud security operations, deploy security technologies, and help strengthen the organization's overall cloud security posture. This role requires practical experience with Azure native security tools and a solid understanding of cloud security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and review Azure cloud security controls to maintain a secure cloud environment.
Deploy and manage Azure native security technologies, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.
Support the configuration and monitoring of core Azure security tools, especially in firewall, endpoint, and email protection areas.
Assist in incident response activities and security alerts across Azure workloads.
Collaborate with senior cloud security engineers to evaluate risks, identify vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation steps.
Monitor cloud environments and generate reports on security posture and control effectiveness.
Participate in the continuous improvement of cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
5 8 years of experience in cloud security or IT security with exposure to Azure environments.
Strong hands-on experience implementing and reviewing cloud security controls.
Experience with Azure cloud-native security technologies , including:
Primary: Azure Firewall, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Email Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
Secondary: Azure Monitor, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF).
Understanding of cloud identity and access management (IAM) best practices.
Ability to analyze security events and support remediation activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, or similar.
Experience supporting security operations in enterprise or hybrid-cloud environments.
