Job Description

Duck Duck Rooter Plumbing & Septic Services is a renowned Plumbing company based in Jacksonville, FL. We are now hiring experienced Lift Station Technicians. Starting pay will depend on experience and ranges between $18 to $25 per hour with a review and raise after 90 days of employment. This position does require being on-call and working weekends.

Qualification and Expectations:

As a Lift Station Technician/ Operator working for Duck Duck Rooter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of lift stations, which are facilities used in wastewater management to pump sewage and stormwater from lower to higher elevations. You'll also be responsible for measuring and replacing concrete septic tank lids and risers, in addition to other duties assigned to you.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• **Monitoring Systems**: Regularly checking the operation of pumps, motors, and control systems to ensure efficient performance.
• **Maintenance**: Performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs or preventative maintenance on equipment.
• **Data Recording**: Keeping logs of operational data, maintenance activities, and any incidents that occur.
• **Safety Protocols**: Following safety regulations and protocols to protect themselves and the environment, especially when handling hazardous materials.
• **Emergency Response**: Responding to alarms or emergencies, such as pump failures or power outages, and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
• **Collaboration**: Working with other maintenance staff, engineers, and environmental agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and efficient operations.
• **Training**: Sometimes involved in training new staff on operational procedures and safety practices.

Skills required typically include mechanical and electrical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Capability to lift weights ranging from 50 to 150 pounds.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
