Job Description

Are you passionate about Linux, cloud infrastructure, pipelines, automation, and open source software? If so, we have an incredible opportunity for you!

Join a dynamic, growing international software company as we work with leading cloud partners like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google to make Ubuntu the top choice in cloud environments. This role will allow you to collaborate with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to making Ubuntu the best platform for modern workloads—whether they're web servers, GPU-powered AI, virtual machines (VMs), containers, or more.

In this position, you'll have a mix of responsibilities, from developing build systems using Python, Jenkins, and shell scripting, to implementing new cloud-related features within Ubuntu Server. You'll also manage continuous delivery pipelines and directly engage with our cloud partners. Your role will focus on automating the delivery of both new and existing Ubuntu products, integrating them with cloud-native services, and enabling them to support workloads in both public and private clouds.

Join us to build a rewarding career alongside brilliant minds in technology, and help shape the future of open-source cloud solutions.
What You'll Do:

Build and maintain automated, reliable image delivery, testing, and publication pipelines.
Design, develop, and integrate new features into Ubuntu to support users in public cloud environments.
Work collaboratively with a distributed team, actively participating in design discussions and code reviews.
Write clean, high-quality code to create new features and fix issues.
Architect complex new systems and integrations with cloud platforms.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues to ensure the quality and reliability of the systems.
Engage with various teams across the organization, including the open-source community and commercial partners.
Enjoy flexible work-from-home opportunities, with occasional global travel (2-4 weeks per year) for internal and external events.

Who You Are:

You have a passion for technology and love collaborating with bright, motivated individuals.
You are curious, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You are self-motivated, responsible, and value both technical expertise and soft skills.
You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
You have practical experience working with public cloud platforms.
You're experienced in at least three of the following areas: containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps automation, open-source projects, APIs, Linux system administration, Python packaging, and cloud-based applications.
You have strong experience in Python software development, particularly in Linux environments.

What We Offer You:

We recognize that great talent deserves great rewards. Our compensation package is based on your experience, performance, and geographical location. We review compensation annually (and more frequently for graduates and associates) to reward exceptional performance. In addition to competitive pay, we offer:

A distributed work environment, with opportunities for twice-yearly team sprints in person.
A personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.
Annual performance reviews to ensure your contributions are recognized.
Recognition rewards for outstanding achievements.
Generous annual holiday leave and family-friendly maternity/paternity leave.
Employee Assistance Program for well-being and support.
Opportunities to travel to meet colleagues across different locations.
Priority Pass and travel upgrades for long-haul company events.

Equal Opportunity Employer

We believe that a diverse team fosters a better work environment and results in better products. Regardless of your identity or background, we're committed to providing all applicants with fair consideration. Join us to make an impact on the future of technology!
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 63.00 82.00 Per Hour
