Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and develop photovoltaic (PV) systems, including load analysis, equipment specifications, and electrical schematics
• Conduct site assessments and evaluate shading, temperature, and weather conditions to optimize system performance
• Develop project proposals and cost estimates for clients
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including sales, installation, and electrical engineers, to ensure successful project delivery
• Stay current on industry developments and regulations to continuously improve design methodology and ensure compliance with standards
• Provide technical support and training to team members as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in the solar industry
• Experience with energy storage systems and microgrids
• Familiarity with NEC and local building codes
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in solar PV design and engineering
• Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, and MS Office
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
