This is a Full-Time position at CRISTA Senior Living, Cristwood Park in Shoreline, WA.
Compensation: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeper will maintain a safe and clean environment for the residents, their families, and the CRISTA employees that we serve.  Perform routine duties including: cleaning, disposing of trash and providing supplies.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

DUTIES

• Daily clean, disinfect, empty trash, and provide supplies to patient rooms, resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, Environmental Specialist closets and equipment in compliance with procedures and instructions given by the Environmental Supervisor.
• Properly clean up human waste and other body fluids.
• Handle various cleaning chemicals in a safe and effective manner.
• Monitor assigned areas and clean, disinfect and clear area of unsafe or broken materials.
• Report unsafe, unclean, or broken materials that you are unable to clear to the Environmental Supervisor.
• Properly use and take care of equipment.
• Attend meetings, classes and receive training as assigned by the Environmental Manager.
• Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times.
• Follow procedures outlined in the employee’s handbook.
• Use ladders in a safe manner, when required.
• Work collaboratively with manager, supervisor, lead, coworkers, and residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

CHRIST-CENTERED 

• Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
• Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc).
• Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
• Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
• Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
• Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC). 
• Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.

 

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Come to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Read, write, communicate in and interpret English at a functional level (i.e.: read and comprehend usage instructions for cleaning products, verbally communicate with clarity, understand and explain information to our residents). 
• Interact with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members. 
• Able to solve problems and work independently.
• Able to multitask and use discretion on what task requires a higher priority.
• Able to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, and residents.
